Nope. Too easy. I'm not even going to touch it.

But you can in the comments section!

There's just too much. Too many lies, too much hypocrisy. Too many obvious retorts. I think my brain might explode.

What gets me is that they'll all love him for confessing his faults and completely miss the irony. We are all imperfect, but it only counts as a sin if you're a Democrat. (Right and it’s only “perjury in your highest officials” if such perjury is about sex and not, say, off the top of my head, non-existent WMDs). Before Dr. B tells me Bush wasn’t under oath when he lied his way into Iraq and thus technically it wasn’t perjury, well there’s the oath of office to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution.” Maybe nothing in the Constitution says you shouldn’t go to war just ‘cause you feel like it, or you shouldn’t use your office to willfully mislead the American people for the sake of money and power, but if lies are measured by body-count Bush wins the day.

One more piece of evidence that proves that our policitical system selects for miscreants, no matter what their party affiliation.

The most appropriate thing that comes to mind at the moment is the golden rule. I can't say something nice, so I'm simply not going to say anything at all. No sense in ranting and raving until I finish my Dunkin iced coffee. I'll get back to you later.

I thought the golden rule was "do unto others as you would have done to you"? Newt doesn't know that one either. -Lulu

Dammit Lulu! I don't know! Didn't you see how I hadn't finished my coffee drink yet?

Typical Democrats don't even know what the golden rule is, let alone how to apply it. -lulu

Are political figures taught how to rationalize any behavior or is it just a coincidence that so many of them are so good at it? Maybe it is a class during Congressional Orientation: Rationalization and Excuses 101.
